Healthy Weight Loss Starts With Healthy Thinking

If you want to lose weight it has to start in your mind. You have to actually decide to do it. You have to change the way you think. You have to be conscious of what you eat, when you eat and why you eat.
How much water do you drink? Are you drinking enough? You obviously can survive by taking in other fluids that contain water, but drinking water specifically can help by flushing out toxins and excess fat. Your body also may be retaining water. When you do not drink enough water, your body will actually hold onto the water you do have. By drinking water
Do you have the right attitude? Are you losing the weight for you? If you are trying to lose weight because someone else is telling you you need to,you are starting out on the wrong foot. You need to steer clear of any negative influences. Those that may be putting you down. This can lead to uncontrollable emotional eating and before you know it you have actually gained weight.
Do you know how much you want to lose? You should have a goal in mind, actually two. You should have small goal and your ultimate goal. So say, you should figure out how many pounds you want to lose in a month and how many pounds you want to lose in total. Your focus should then be on your monthly goal. Make sure your goals are realistic and achievable.
Try to come up with a rewards plan to keep you motivated. Although many people choose to reward themselves with a dinner or special food treat, it is probably better if you can think of something else you would like to have that you can reward yourself with, because we are talking about a frame of mind and by rewarding yourself with food you are creating a habit that may bite you later on as well as counter acting some of your hard work.
You can eat what you really love but make sure it is in moderation. This way you not only avoid a lot of calories, you also train yourself to eat in smaller portions which will help you keep the weight off once you lose it.
Exercise. There are plenty of people who love to exercise. You've seen them, its 20 degrees outside but there they are jogging or biking around the park for exercise. For the rest of us its a chore. A very, very big chore but the rewards are incredible. You can lose pounds and inches quicker. Get a more toned look with your weight loss and generally just feel better and have more energy. So, you should at least try to keep up with a moderate exercise plan.
Try to get your family involved in healthy eating. It is a lot easier to stick to your goals if you don't have to fix different meals for everyone. Ask for their support. Most family members will be happy to help if it means you will be healthier.
